A presentation of the Yalta International Economic Forum, which will be held for the third time on 20–22 April this year in Crimea, took place within the framework of the MIPIM 2017 international real estate exhibition in Cannes on 14 March.

As part of this event, Andrei Nazarov, Co-Chairman of Delovaya Rossiya, Chairman of the Board of the Yalta International Economic Forum Foundation and of the Granelle Group, told foreign partners about the investment potential of the Republic of Crimea and the programme of the forthcoming Forum, and invited foreign investors to participate.

"The Yalta Forum has become a popular global business platform. While 70 representatives from 25 countries participated in the Forum last year, the Third Yalta Forum is expected to welcome more than 250 investors from 40 countries, including EU countries that have already assessed the investment potential of the region", he said.

Andrei Nazarov mentioned that the Republic of Crimea offered adequate conditions for implementing investment projects and, despite the existing restrictions, the investment policy of the region was formed on the basis of the best international and Russian practices: "There is a free economic zone in Crimea, which provides a wealth of preferences, and work on implementing 114 investment projects for a total of RUB 128 bn is already under way. The Yalta Forum is yet another effective tool for business; it offers a unique opportunity personally to discuss projects and ask questions of ministers and the Head of the Republic, who will hold a number of meetings with investors on the third day of the Forum."

Andrei Nazarov noted that the Forum programme encompasses more than 30 business events in various areas: from the construction industry as a driver of the economy, high technologies and the IT industry to development of the economy and enhancing the investment appeal of both Crimea and the country as a whole.

The presentation of the Yalta Forum included Crimean wine tasting, where participants had an opportunity to taste different varieties of wines.

"It is a great honour for us to hold a presentation of the Yalta Forum, our Crimea, and introduce the numerous participants in the international exhibition to the products of our legendary plant – Muscat, Port and Pinot Gris", noted Yanina Pavlenko, General Director of FSUE PAO Massandra of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation. " Crimea is inconceivable without viticulture and winemaking. Vineyards are its circulatory system, while winemaking is its heart. And it is very important for us that modern winemaking has no boundaries. The only division it recognises is that into terroirs."

In 2016, the Yalta Forum was attended by more than 1,000 participants, including representatives from more than 25 countries.
